Fiber optic cables: How they work

It is amazing that he successfully demonstrate/visualise the full reflection effect of light. That is the highlight of the video I would like to share.

Total internal reflection might be the better name, as it is happening inside the material denser than the material surrounding.
3.
The full reflection is the secret of fiber optics. And because of this full reflection happening inside the fiber optics, the light travels longer distance, than its shortest path. Some people, not every one, even consider this tiny increase of distance, on top of the fiber optics cable detours along with roads, rivers, and mountains.
